This is the bare PCB of a single stage, stereo single-ended power amplifier , using one SIT ( or V-FET) per channel. The board is designed to have multiple configurations. Users can select the SIT to be resistor loaded( such as using high power light bulb or ventilated power resistors) or choke loaded. It can also be CCS loaded. The CCS can be a depletion mode MOSFET. On the input side, the amplifier board can be configured as a normal unbalanced input , two-channel amplifier board, or a balanced-input, balanced-output single channel amplifier. The board has catered the footprint to put in popular input transformers from Jensen or Lundhal. Alternatively, this power amplifier board can also be integrated with three of our preamplifier boards for a tidy integration, as shown in the pictures below showing mounting item 222908785476 on top for two-channels configuration. On the power supply side, we have SiC diodes in mind during the design. SiC diodes are the new generation of diodes to minimize switching noise that may go into the audio frequency via the power rail. Alternatively standard TO-220 silicon FRD diodes can be put on too. Background of SIT/V-FET : this is a magical device renowned for its triode-like characteristic invented in 70's of last year and used in various Japan brand such as SONY, Yamaha, NEC and Hitachi.
The board is built with premium quality, including thick copper, tin plated conducting surface and two-sided solder resist for maximum reliability.
