This board uses a high speed transceiver DS26LS31 RS422 for high speed digital transmission which substantially reduce jitter during data transferring process. In the commercial market, Mark Levinson and Wadia have been using this chip in their digital interface to obtain superb performance.

This board requires TTL level spdif signal input and does not accept direct input from a CDP. The TTL level can be obtained from the DSP chip of the CDP directly and requires experience and knowledge of CD player circuitry. Alternatively most of the PC motherboard can output TTL level of spdif signal.

The board requires 9VDC to 12VDC input.
