Hiraga super 30W class A amplifier kit !

 

This is a kit of class A amplifier with ultra-fi sonic quality. The design is with reference to the legendary design by Jean Hiraga. The amplifier is called "Super 30W class A" which implies it can gives 30W of power with operation in class A !

 

The kit comes with superior quality components:
1. 1% metal film resistors. To further improve the robustness and thermal stability of the amplifier, we put in 1/2W metal film resistors on all positions that work fine even with 1/4W resistors. Due to a much better power margin, thermal drift of resistance due to temperature variation is minimized ;
2. New old stock low noise low Cob Hitachi transistor 2SA872/2SC1775 ;
3. Matched On Semiconductor driver transistor MJE15034/MJE15035 and the accompanying TO-220 heatsinks ;
4. High quality mica capacitors;
5. Japan-made Non-inductive power resistors.
6. High quality FR4 boards, 1.6mm thickness, tin-plated, 75um copper thickness( 4 times standard thickness), double-sided solder resist coated for best durability.
 
The kit contains NO output power transistors. Each kit requires one pair of output transistors to be purchased elsewhere. Most of the TO-3P package transistors can be used for the output stage.

This is an auction for an unassembled kit. The assembled board pictures are for reference only.
