This is the PCB of a high speed low-noise shunt regulator plus a well-designed fully complementary J-FET input preamplifier. The regulator circuitry is based on Stax patented shunt topology( see below). Since the topology was disclosed by MJ magazine in 1980s, the circuit prevailed in the diy circle and commercial designs( probably right after the expiration of the patent). "Mr. FET", Erno Borbely did a similar design using all FETs in early 90s. In this board we cling to the original Stax design using readily accessible BJT transistors. The preamplifier is a fully complementary design using N-channel and P-channel J-FETs for best sonic performance and coupled to complementary NPN/PNP for superior current driving capability. The board's regulator and preamplifier can be used separately for user's progressive upgrading. We provide detail schematic( pdf format, with component values) and part list for this PCB by EMAIL to buyers. Specifications: PCB dimension: 207mm x 100mm. PCB thickness 1.6mm. Super thick copper ( 2oz, 75um !!) is used, which is three times the normal thickness. We do air shipping worldwide at US$5.00.
