| Note on 6 June 2013: From now on all of this preamplifier boards will employ Takamisawa sealed relays for much improved reliability !! This is an assembled kit of an absolute audiophile grade preamplifier , with a single gain stage on each channel using MOSFET in a single-ended class A architecture. The performance is exceptionally musical. The board features a monobloc architecture, containing two individual dc power regulatory and signal gain circuits for maximum signal separation.The design also integrated a very high-end 128 steps stereo volume control on the same board, thus minimizing any signal deterioration due to long signal path . The volume control is achieved by means of a number of resistors and relays to complete the switch combination for minimal noise and distortion. The design concept is with reference to Aleph L( the unbalanced version of Aleph 1.7) preamplifier. The preamplifier gain is user settable at 0dB , 6dB and 12dB respectively. For the board components, the board features Fast Recovery Diodes for on-board rectification; Elna high reliable capacitors 7200uF on EACH channel for ripple filtering ; matched MOSFET ; 1% low noise metal film resistors ; expensive film capacitors for audio coupling; low noise low tempco metal film resistors are used in the step volume control circuitry. The board includes a dual gang 50K pot for dc control ( not on the audio path). Board Dimension : 197mm x 211mm. Supply voltage : AC 48V-0 to 56V-0(for the gain section) and 15V-0-15V( for the volume control section. We do air shipping worldwide at US$15.50. |
